What is the Secret to Success?
I saw this great documentary called, Jiro Dreams of Sushi, and I was so inspired by Jiro's work ethic and his success as the World's Greatest Sushi Chef!
Well into his eighties, Mr. Jiro Ono is still hard at work creating the world's best sushi.
This documentary really struck a cord with me in regards to animation. I strive for perfection in my work. It is a long and difficult road and at times can become frustrating when what you envision does not always match what you produce on screen.

Here is what Mr. Ono had to say about success:

"Once you decide
on your occupation, you must immerse yourself in your work.
You have to fall in
love with your work.
Never complain about
your job.
You must dedicate your
life to mastering your skill.
That's the secret of
success and is the key to being regarded honorably."
-Jiro Ono

Very wise and true, great way to get inspire and gain perspective during tough times
ReplyDeleteReminded me of: "Find a job you love, then you don't have to work a single day of your life." :)
